5 -3.03 5 -3.05 <br /> to traffic in both directions. The reflectors shall be <br /> mounted as close as is practical to the extreme edges of <br /> the container at a height not more than 60 inches, or <br /> less than 20 inches from the bottom of the container. <br /> Each reflector shall be designed and maintained to be <br /> visible at night from all distances within 500 to 50 feet <br /> from the container when directly in front of a motor <br /> vehicle displaying lawfully lighted headlights. <br /> 5 -3.04 Placement of Addresses on Principal Structures <br /> A. Purpose. The placement of numbers indicating <br /> correct addresses on all principal structures <br /> within the city is deemed to be in the interests <br /> of health, welfare and safety of its residents. <br /> Property numbered structures will allow for <br /> identification for police and fire protection <br /> purposes. <br /> B. Numbered Addresses: All residential structures <br /> and garages abutting alleys shall have the proper <br /> street address affixed as designated by the city. <br /> All businesses or commercial establishments shall <br /> have the proper street addresses affixed to both <br /> the front and back of the establishment. <br /> C. Requirements. All letters shall be a minimum of <br /> four (4) inches in height. <br /> 5 -3.05 Intrusion Alarm Systems <br /> A. Scope and Purpose <br /> 1. Scope. This ordinance provides regulation for <br /> the use of fire, burglary, and safety alarms, <br /> establishes users fees, and establishes a system <br /> of administration. <br /> 2. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to <br /> protect the public safety services of the city from <br /> misuse of public safety alarms and to provide for <br /> the maximum possible service to public safety alarm <br /> users. <br /> B. Definitions <br /> 1. Alarm Systems. An alarm installation used for <br /> the prevention or detection of burglary, robbery or <br /> fire and located in a building, structure or <br /> facility. <br /> 16 <br />
