It's important <br /> to keep sidewalks in good repair for public safety and to enhance <br /> the quality of the residential neighborhood. According to our city <br /> code, property owners are responsible for the maintenance of <br /> sidewalks in Falcon heights. Please remedy this hazardous <br /> condition within sixty days. <br /> Thank you for your cooperation in helping to make our city a safe <br /> and attractive place. <br /> 17 August 1992 <br /> Dear Property Owner: <br /> Over the past two weeks you may have noticed a yellow mark on the <br /> sidewalk in front of your property. This mark indicates that the <br /> sidewalk needs repair to eliminate a hazard to passersby. The <br /> hazard may be because the sidewalk slab is an inch or so higher <br /> than an adjacent sidewalk slab and /or because it is badly <br /> cracked. <br /> The sidewalk should be repaired to eliminate the hazard and to <br /> keep the neighborhood attractive. This may mean patching, <br /> replacing or raising the sidewalk slab(s).
