P -1 <br /> A <br /> FALCON HEIGHTS PROCLAMATION <br /> NATIONAL NIGHT OUT <br /> AUGUST 3, 1993 <br /> WHEREAS, the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) is <br /> sponsoring a unique, nationwide crime and drug prevention program <br /> on August 3, 1993 called "National Night Out and <br /> WHEREAS, the "10th Annual National Night Out" provides a <br /> unique opportunity for the City of Falcon Heights to join forces <br /> with thousands of other communities across the country in <br /> promoting cooperative, police community crime and drug prevention <br /> efforts; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights plays a vital role in <br /> assisting the Roseville police through joint crime and drug <br /> prevention efforts in Falcon Heights and is supporting "National <br /> Night Out 1993" locally; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of Falcon Heights <br /> be aware of the importance of crime prevention programs and <br /> impact that their participation can have on reducing crime and <br /> drug abuse in the City of Falcon Heights; and <br /> WHEREAS, police community partnerships and neighborhood <br /> safety and awareness and cooperation are important themes of the <br /> "National Night Out" program; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE WE, THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF FALCON <br /> HEIGHTS, do hereby call upon all citizens of the City of Falcon <br /> Heights to join our second annual Neighborhood Watch Night Out <br /> and the National Association of Town Watch in supporting "10th <br /> Annual National Night Out" on August 3, 1993 <br /> FURTHER, LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT, WE, THE MAYOR AND CITY <br /> COUNCIL OF FALCON HEIGHTS, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, August 3, <br /> 1993 as "NATIONAL NIGHT OUT" in the City of Falcon Heights. <br /> Tom Baldwin, Mayor <br /> Shirley Chenoweth, City Clerk <br />
