The <br /> purchase will be done according to federal <br /> the Community Development Block Grant ro ram. The ogr w i l <br /> fund the majority of this project. p g program will <br /> The fire chief requested that the fire department be allowed to <br /> use the structure for fire training including search and rescue, <br /> ventilation, fire suppression and forcible entr <br /> not propose actually burning the house down. y' The chief does <br /> Staff recommends that the administrator and chief discuss these <br /> possibilities with the following guidelines: <br /> 1. Establish whether this conforms to all regulations governing <br /> the grant the city is receiving. <br /> 2. If allowed, plan what activities will be done and a schedule <br /> for completing them over a few days within a one or two week <br /> period so any smoke or security problems associated with the <br /> exercises can be carefully controlled. <br /> 3. Discuss the proposed activity with Hewlett Packard, the <br /> Stratford property owners, the Maple Knoll Courtyard <br /> residents and the police. <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Approve the use of 2061 West Larpenteur for fire training if all <br /> the above conditions can be addressed by the administrator and <br /> fire chief. <br /> Pol :.::.ol:.::::::: :::::.;.:o:..:::::.;::::: <br />
