Meeting Date: 8/25/93
Agenda Item: P 5
CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION
ITEM DESCRIPTION: Consideration of additional storm sewer
improvements along Folwell Avenue at Ford
pathway as part of the 1993 street project
SUBMITTED BY: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator
REVIEWED BY: Terry Maurer, City Engineer
EXPLANATION /SUMMARY:
There is a drainage problem during heavy rainstorms in the area
of Folwell Avenue and Ford Street, which is a bituminous pathway,
in the University Grove neighborhood. This area is receiving a
street overlay not being reconstructed as part of the 1993 street
project. Since the contractors are in the Grove neighborhood
it seems timely to look at making some improvements to this area
without doing major storm Sewer work. The city engineer and
public works foreman viewed the area and the attached
recommendations for work were made.
At this time, staff does not have a cost estimate for the work.
ATTACHMENTS:
A Letter from city engineer dated 11 August 1993
B Map of Ford Street /Folwell Avenue
ACTION REQUESTED:
Consider storm sewer improvements along Folwell Avenue and Ford
Street as part of the 1993 street improvement project.
