wen Consent C m t C Ce s Consen Co nsent
Meeting Date: 11/10/93
Agenda Item: C 4
CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION
ITEM DESCRIPTION: Final payment on Hamline Avenue to Ramsey
County
SUBMITTED BY: Ramsey County
REVIEWED BY: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator
Terry Maurer, City Engineer
EXPLANATION /SUMMARY:
Ramsey County requested final payment on Hamline Avenue several
months ago. However, staff did not forward the request to the
council until they met with the county to determine who is
responsible for covering the cracks that appeared this past
spring on the sidewalk adjacent to Hamline Avenue. The county
said that the contractor is not responsible for the cracking
because the project is over a year old. After discussing this
with county staff, it appears that the cracks, which are not
currently hazardous to pedestrians, should be repaired as part of
the city's sidewalk maintenance program.
Given this, staff recommends making the final payment on Hamline
Avenue.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Approve final payment of $10,529 for Hamline Avenue to Ramsey
County out of the Hamline Avenue construction fund.
