United Church directed to <br /> approach the school district to determine if they would consider <br /> the city's use of the facility for a polling place for the 1994 <br /> 4 <br /> In a discussion with the school district's election offici <br /> stressed the importance of making it al she <br /> possible <br /> observe the voting process and indicated they want to encourage <br /> that experience wherever possible. <br /> there have been a number of problems However, she also stated that <br /> school facilities and all seven cties dwithin etheydistrict using voters <br /> been moving toward selecting voting sites other than school have <br /> s, i.e., <br /> city halls, churches, etc. <br /> From this conversation, staff sensed that they are not encoura <br /> the use of school facilities as the facilities have not proven <br /> be convenient, p gsng <br /> safe and easily accessible to voters in many <br /> to <br /> instances.
