COMBINED NOTICE OF FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO RELEASE FUNDS Date: Oct. 19, 1993 CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS 2077 W. Larpenteur Ave. Falcon Heights, MN 55113 TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES, GROUPS AND PERSONS: The purpose of this notice is to identify two separate but related actions to be taken by the City of Falcon Heights. On or about November 5, 1993, the above named city will request the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to release federal funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended (PL 93 -383) for the following project. Falcon Heights' acquisition of Substandard Housing Project 2061 W. Larpenteur Ave., Falcon Heights, MN 55113 Total project cost is approximately $145,000 (CDBG $110,000). FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT It has been determined that such request for release of funds will not constitute an action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment and accordingly the above named city has decided not to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (PL 91 -190). The reason for such decision not to prepare such a statement are as follows: Review of the project shows no significant negative impacts on the environment. The project will result in the elimination of blight and substandard housing and an incompatible land use. It will provide additional public green space in the community. An Environmental Review Record respecting the within project has been made by the above named city which documents the environmental review of the project and more fully sets forth the reasons why such statement is not required. This Environmental Review Record is on file at the above address and is available for public examination and copying, upon request, at 2077 W. Larpenteur Ave. during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. No further environmental review of such project is proposed to be conducted prior to the request for release of federal funds.
