There was discussion on <br /> participation of our commission <br /> SUMMARY OF MEETING in Rosevilles Fair, and it was decided that we will not <br /> participated because of the limited time factor. <br /> 2. The Minnesota League of Human Rights is currently working on a questionnaire to <br /> send to schools inquiring as to their diversity education programs. <br /> 3. It was a unanimous vote to draft a letter to send to Shirley Chenoweth to thank <br /> her for her years of service to our commission. Gwen will draft the letter. <br /> 4. Dave had samples of the various forms that Ramsey Co. Sheriff and Roseville <br /> Police departments use for reporting Bias and crimes against persons. He will <br /> continue working with these departments. <br /> 5. Jan our liaison with the City Council brought up the topic of expansion of our <br /> involvement in other areas of human services other then just Human Rights. There <br /> was a discussion about changing the name from the Human Rights Commission to <br /> something like; The Human Resources Commission. <br /> 6. Gwen would like to have a review of the accessibility of the businesses in Falcon <br /> Heights from the A.D.A. aspect. Susan Hoyt may be able to help with this <br /> 7. There was discussion of having a "Coffee" meeting at City Hall for members of <br /> the business community and city commissions for the free discussions of ideas. <br /> 8. Discussion on development of a Display about our commission that could be <br /> used for future fairs or demonstrations. <br /> 9. Dave will contact Pam Harris about organization of notes and materials on the <br /> A.D.A. program. <br /> 10. Discussion on development of a brochure of what our commission is and does. <br /> Beginning with the Human Rights State Law. <br /> 11. Dave would like to see a centralized location at City Hall for material, notes, <br /> minutes for the use of all commissions to help in any future projects. <br /> Human Rights Meeting Minutes Page 1 <br />
