Lever, CEO, Celebrity Bowl Charities, Inc. <br /> REVIEWED BY: Peter Bachman, City Attorney <br /> Shirley Chenoweth, City Clerk <br /> EXPLANATION /SUMMARY: Celebrity Bowl Charities, Inc. has applied <br /> for a charitable gambling registration from the City of Falcon <br /> Heights for operating a pull tab at Falcon Bowl. The city must <br /> approve the registration and premises permit for the operation. <br /> Celebrity Bowl Charities, Inc. operates in bowling alleys <br /> throughout the state with several in the metro area. Profits are <br /> distributed to various charities within the local area where the <br /> operation is located. Prospective recipients apply for donations <br /> and these applications are considered for funding if and when <br /> funds are available, similar to VFW's, etc. <br /> The city's charitable gambling ordinance requires that the <br /> organization: <br /> 1. Submit monthly payments of 3% of gross receipts to the <br /> city to cover documented city expenses; <br /> 2. Submit monthly payments of 10% of net profits to the <br /> city for a fund for the community benefit. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> A. Premises permit and registration application <br /> B.
