Public Service Organizations:
League of Women Voters
Senior Citizens
Ramsey County League of Local Governments
League of MN Cities /AMM
Watershed Management Organizations
Scout Groups
4 -H
Neighborhood Groups (such as Grove Assoc. and Maple Knoll
Townhome Association)
55 Alive Mature Driving Class
Cable Commission
Developers when presenting to neighbors /residents
Legislators (town hall meetings, etc.)
Youth Service Bureau
The three requests for fee exempt facility use were:
1) An informal parent organized classroom potluck at the
Community Park building for families of 2nd grade
Brimhall students.
2) A Curtiss Field neighborhood picnic and gathering at
Curtiss Field celebrating the end of the school year.
3) A request for use of the council chambers for use by a
sewing /quilting group.
The first two of the requests were determined to be "neighborhood or community building groups" and
thus the fee waived. The difficulty associated with making judgments regarding these requests and the
appropriateness of fee exempt status is what has prompted the suggestion for reviewing "the list" and
associated criteria for making these determinations.
II. PROFILE OF FACILITIES' USERS AND CHARGES
Attached is information regarding the current level of facility usage as well as the types of groups and
organizations using the facilities.
