Page 4 <br /> Council Minutes <br /> Feb. 9, 1994 <br /> ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE CHANGING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR RENTAL OF <br /> COMMUNITY PARK BUILDING <br /> Recommendation had been made by the Park and Recreation Commission to revise the <br /> Community Park building's rental fees and hours to better accommodate the users <br /> of the building and to make sure that the facilities can be checked and cleaned, if <br /> necessary, before new users rent the space. The proposed change in policy permits <br /> the Community Park building to be rented for one 6 -hour shift or a portion of a shift. <br /> It eliminates a second shift. It permits a user to pay $5.00 per hour for any use over <br /> the basic six hour shift. Hustad moved adoption of 0 -94 -03 and motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> ORDINANCE 0 -94 -03 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 -4.01, SUBDIVISION D (2.a.) <br /> OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO PARK FACILITY FEES <br /> ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE REGARDING FACILITY USE BY MUNICIPAL OR PUBLIC <br /> SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS <br /> Council directed staff to amend the current ordinance governing the policy for groups <br /> that are not charged fees for use of city buildings. The purpose of the proposed <br /> changes in policy are to promote the growth of informal community and neighborhood <br /> gatherings. It is also designed to specifically encourage community based hobby clubs <br /> with different activities to reach out to a variety of ages, especially youths and to <br /> include a community service and /or benefit as part of their club activities.
