lir <br /> MUNICIPAL REGULATION LICENSING 5 -1.01, 5 -1.02 <br /> CHAPTER 5. MUNICIPAL REGULATION AND LICENSING <br /> SECTION 1. BUSINESS LICENSE REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATION <br /> 5 -1.01 Business Licenses. No person shall operate a business <br /> within the City of Falcon Heights without obtaining and <br /> maintaining a business license as provided herein. <br /> 5 -1.02 Licensing Procedures and Regulations. <br /> A. Issuance. Each owner of a business to be located <br /> within the city shall complete an application for a <br /> business license on forms provided by the city clerk, <br /> containing such information as is requested on the <br /> form. <br /> Business licenses shall be issued upon receipt of the <br /> completed application and appropriate license fee (as <br /> stipulated in Chapter 5 -5.01 of this code), after <br /> review by city staff; provided that the operation of <br /> the business at the proposed location complies with <br /> this code and other applicable laws (ie. Uniform Fire <br /> Code and Uniform Building Code) and approval by the <br /> city council. <br /> B. Revocation. A business license may be revoked by <br /> the city council after a hearing at which the council <br /> finds that operation of the business is inconsistent <br /> with the information provided on the license <br /> (4)1C-461°J) application, operation of the business violates any <br /> part of the city code or state or federal law, and /or <br /> operation of the business has resulted in repeated <br /> Of violations of the code or state or federal law. At <br /> efrjg least ten days prior to such a revocation hearing, <br /> notice shall be mailed to the owner(S) of the business <br /> license, indicating the nature of the hearing. A <br /> majority vote of the council shall be sufficient to <br /> sustain revocation of a business license. <br /> C. Renewal. Business licenses granted hereunder may <br /> be renewed upon submission to the city clerk of the <br /> appropriate license renewal fee and a completed renewal <br /> application, indicating any changes from the previous <br /> license application. Licenses will be renewed only if <br /> the business has been operated in compliance with all <br /> applicable laws, including this code, during the <br /> preceding license term. All renewals must be approved <br /> by the city council. <br /> 1 <br />
