MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br /> Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance of <br /> parks, or public works, including maintenance of streets, storm and sanitary sewer <br /> systems. <br /> Minimum of two years supervisory experience; must have a demonstrated ability to <br /> direct, supervise, evaluate and train others. <br /> Possess a thorough practical knowledge of the maintenance of park facilities, <br /> buildings, equipment, streets and storm sewer systems. Painting, plumbing, electrical, <br /> carpentry, welding and metal working skills sufficient to perform general building and <br /> equipment maintenance and repair work. <br /> Must have a thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, techniques, tools and <br /> equipment used in park or public works including streets, storm and sewer systems. <br /> Should have the capacity to evaluate the efficiency and economy of ongoing <br /> operations and select the most appropriate technique for delivery of services. <br /> Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with city <br /> employees and the public. <br /> Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. <br /> Must have valid Minnesota Class B commercial driver's license. <br /> Possession of a "collection systems operator's" license or the ability to obtain within <br /> a year of hiring. <br />
