Quotations reflect the purchase of an IBM <br /> compatible 486 computer, monitor, mouse, MS -DOS and Microsoft Windows, shipping costs <br /> (if any) and sales tax: <br /> P.C. Tailors: $1,836.06 <br /> Global Computronics: $1,915.94 <br /> AmeriData: $2,319.57 <br /> DCT Systems Group (formerly Entre Computer): $2,815.87 <br /> Staff is recommending the purchase of the computer from P.C. Tailors, which in addition to <br /> quoting the lowest cost also offers the longest warranty period (5 years, 1 year on- site). This <br /> computer is a budgeted purchase in the 1994 Capital Improvement Plan, and will replace an <br /> IBM -AT Computer purchased in the mid- 1980's. The Administrative Assistant/Planner will be <br /> using the new computer for wordprocessing, spreadsheet, database computing, and desktop <br /> publishing purposes. <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize purchase of a personal computer from P.C.
