follows: <br /> 2000 Static Stickers 700 <br /> 30 logo caps for <br /> volunteers 300 <br /> 500 logo balloons 100 <br /> 2000 brochures 200 <br /> Total $1300 <br /> -Begin promoting campaign and recruiting volunteers at <br /> the July 28 Ice Cream Social. <br /> Publicize "Turn Off the Violence" in local newspapers <br /> and include an informational flyer in the October city <br /> newsletter to be distributed around October 15. <br /> Sponsor an educational seminar in early October <br /> (possibly Wed., Oct 5) using the "Silhouettes" presentation <br /> and providing an opportunity for youth and adult discussions <br /> about non violent alternatives to handling anger. <br /> Recruit residents of all ages to volunteer on <br /> Saturday, Oct. 22 to deliver a packet to every household <br /> in Falcon Heights including a static sticker for TV screen <br /> or window, an informational brochure, a list of local <br /> resources for prevention and intervention, and an invitation <br /> to an October 27 event (yet to be determined). <br /> Recruit volunteers to tie bunches of 500 "Turn Off the <br /> Violence" balloons at City Hall, city parks, and schools. <br /> Offer speakers on violence prevention to community <br /> organizations. <br /> Work with Falcon Heights and Brimhall schools to <br /> determine how we can support their efforts at making schools <br /> and playgrounds welcoming and safe and to recruit youth <br /> volunteers for the October 22 packet delivery and balloon <br /> project. <br /> In August send a letter to our local church, law <br /> enforcement agencies, businesses, university campus, and <br /> civic organizations inviting them to participate in this <br /> campaign in whatever way they can. <br /> On October 27, sponsor some kind of community <br /> event to celebrate people's interest and involvement. <br /> Tape and rebroadcast. <br />
