As for the exercise stations, staff is recommending that <br /> two new stations be added and that all the sign posts and frames be <br /> replaced due to deteriorating condition. Staff will be able to <br /> perform the labor for the exercise stations; the pathway <br /> rehabilitation will require the assistance of a contractor. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Gehrz to authorize staff to enter into an <br /> agreement with Albrecht Company for pathway reconstruction (cost <br /> not to exceed $6,338.00) and $2,725.00 for materials related to the <br /> improvement of the exercise stations. These expenditures are to be <br /> charged to the Parks Capital Improvement Fund. Motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> CITY INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Councilmember Gehrz announced that Dr. Peter Benson would be <br /> speaking at Roseville High School on September 29th. She also <br /> announced that volunteers would be needed for "Turn Off the <br /> Violence" day on October 22nd. <br /> Mayor Baldwin noted that due to employment commitments he will not <br /> be able to attend the scheduled council retreat in November. <br /> Administrator Hoyt indicated that she would contact all <br /> councilmembers to find a suitable replacement date, probably <br /> November 11 -12, 1994. <br /> Councilmember Gibson Talbot had a message from the parks and <br /> recreation commission, namely that they are very pleased with the <br /> success of the summer programs and the efforts of staff to improve <br /> upon the condition of the city parks. <br /> Administrator Hoyt noted that fall and winter park programs and <br /> Cities Week activities were in progress and that the City <br /> Accountant's position posting had closed.
