In order to accept the <br /> grant, the city council must authorize the mayor to act on behalf of the city as the <br /> sponsoring agency for MCAD in 1995 and 1996 by adopting the attached resolution. <br /> In addition to authorizing the mayor to enter into the grant agreement, as the <br /> sponsoring city for MCAD, the city must contract with Connie Bernardy, the chemical <br /> prevention consultant, for 572,353 for the two years. The grant fully covers the cost <br /> of the contract which pays for the consultant's salary. The consultant is not a city <br /> employee under this contract. <br /> A Resolution <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Approve resolution authorizing mayor to enter into the MCAD grant and the contract <br /> with the MCAD consultant. <br />
