Meeting Date: 12/21/94 <br /> Agenda Item: P 1 <br /> CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br /> REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> ITEM DESCRIPTION: Proposed Resolution R -94 -27 adopting the <br /> 1995 budget and certifying the 1995 property tax levy <br /> SUBMITTED BY: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator <br /> EXPLANATION /SUMMARY: On December 7, 1994, the city held its <br /> truth -in- taxation hearing on its proposed 1995 budget of <br /> $2,695,605 with a general operating budget of $1,094,473. This <br /> requires a levy of $520,867 including ad valorem property tax <br /> revenue and fiscal disparities tax revenue. <br /> At this meeting it is appropriate to pass a resolution adopting <br /> the proposed 1995 budget and certifying the 1995 property tax <br /> levy. This action finalizes the city's budget process for 1995 <br /> and directs the county to levy the associated property taxes. A <br /> certified copy of the resolution will be forwarded to the county <br /> to place the levied taxes on the tax role. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: Resolution R -94 -27 <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: Adoption of Resolution R -94 -27 authorizing a <br /> city operating budget of $1,094,473 for 1995 <br /> and a certified tax levy of $520,867. <br />
