Background <br /> The city forester, Linda Treeful, reviewed the city's tree planting policies and procedures for their <br /> conformance to the city's goal of expanding the city's boulevard tree planting as well as to assure <br /> that the city's boulevard trees may be able to handle the impact of major disease outbreaks. <br /> Although the city's tree program has been working well, staff recommends the following revisions <br /> to the policy and practices to expand and protect the city's public tree resource. <br /> 11. Staff findings on current policy and procedures and recommendations for change <br /> A. Expanded boulevard tree planting <br /> 1.
