CONSENT CONSENT CONSENT CONSENT CONSENT CONSENT <br /> Meeting Date: 1/11/95 <br /> Agenda Item: C 9 <br /> CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br /> REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> ITEM DESCRIPTION: Purchase of ten pagers and one radio for emergency service <br /> in the fire department <br /> SUBMITTED BY: Clem Kurhajetz, Fire Chief <br /> REVIEWED BY: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator <br /> EXPLANATION /SUMMARY: <br /> Over the past three years the fire department has budgeted for replacement of its old <br /> pagers and radios. The current pagers were over twelve years old and required <br /> substantial repairs. In 1995 the capital improvement program provides funds for ten <br /> pagers and a radio. This nearly completes the replacement of this communication <br /> equipment with two remaining for 1996. <br /> The fire department received five proposals for these pagers and pack sets. They are: <br /> Dispatch Communications $5,688.07 <br /> Special Radio Services $5,713.73 <br /> Ancom Communications $5,743.79 <br /> Bear Communications $6,009.70 <br /> Action Radio Communication $6,070.50 <br /> All proposals include a five year warrranty on the pagers and a 3 year warranty on the <br /> radio. <br /> Staff recommends purchasing from the lowest bidder, Dispatch Communications. <br /> ATTACHMENT: <br /> A Proposals for 10 pagers and 1 radio with related equipment <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Approve the purchase of ten pagers and one radio from Dispatch Communications for $5,688.07 <br /> public safety capital improvement program. <br /> CONSENTPRCONSENIPEECONSENTmmgONSENTmmCONSENTNEMCC)NSENT <br />
