Members present: Mayor Lindstrom, Council Members Mercer-Taylor, Harris and Long
Members absent: Council Member Gosline
City Staff present: City Administrator Bart Fischer
1) Discussion relating to a multi-year Police partnership/contract with St. Anthony.
The City Administrator of St Anthony, Mark Casey, and Falcon Heights City
Administrator Bart Fischer discussed with Council the possibilities of entering into a
longer term contract for Police services. Council directed staff to explore this option
with specific re-openers that would require the parties to come back to the table if
costs became too excessive.
2) Continued discussion on future staffing. (No Attachments)
City Administrator Fischer and Council discussed the upcoming retirements of the
Fire Chief and Planning & Zoning Director as well as options for replacing these
positions.
3) Continued discussion regarding the City’s possible adoption of a PACE program
through the St. Paul Port Authority
Council and City Administrator Fischer continued discussion from the April 2, 2014,
Council Workshop regarding the City entering into the St. Paul Port Authority
(SPPA) PACE program. Council directed staff to pursue an agreement with the
SPPA for implementation and administration of a PACE program in the City.
The workshop concluded at 8:32 p.m.
