D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 11, 2015 Approved
E. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1. SAPD Annual Report, 2014 – Chief Ohl
- Chief Ohl introduced the new CSO, Ismail Turay. Chief Ohl also provided his annual
report and answered questions of the Council.
F. CONSENT AGENDA:
1. General Disbursements through 3/19/2015: $44,627.12
Payroll through 3/15/2015: $14,153.11
2. Appointment of City Administrator
- Sack Thongvanh introduced himself and thanked Council for the opportunity.
3. Appointment of Interim City Administrator
4. Designate Signor for City Funds
5. Approval of Curtis Field preparation
- Tim Pittman provided an update on this item to the Council and answered questions.
- Celia Graham of 1546 Iowa Ave addressed the Council on concerns she has related to
the changes to Curtiss Field.
- Deb Wisswell of 1543 Iowa Ave addressed the Council on concerns she has related to
the changes to Curtiss Field.
Council Member Harris Moved, Approved 5-0
G: POLICY ITEMS:
1. Resolution Proclaiming National Service Day (Amendment)
- Mayor Lindstrom introduced the item and Councilmembers commented on
proclamation.
Council Member Long Moved, Approved 5-0
H. INFORMATION/ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Mayor Lindstrom:
- Announced City Administrator Fischer was leaving his position for an opportunity in
Oakdale and thanked Mr. Fischer for his service.
Council Member Harris:
- Provided an update on the recent Planning Commission.
- Announced she was appointed to a Met Council Committee on land use.
Council Member Long:
- Congratulated the Future Problem Solvers Team at Falcon Heights Elementary for their
recent success at the state competition.
Council Member Brown Thunder:
- Provided an update on recent NYFS activities.
- Announced the Scholarships being made available by the Lion’s Club.
Administrator Fischer:
- Thanked Council, staff and the community for the opportunity to be the City
Administrator the past 3 years.
Public Works Director Pittman:
- Thanked Administrator Fischer for his service.
