Environmental Commission Minutes
August 17th, 2015
PRESENT: Commissioners Hall, Hartman, Olson, and Holmes, Staff Liaison Moretto
ABSENT: Council Liaison Mercer-Taylor, Montgomery
The meeting was called to order at 6:36 p.m. by Chair Holmes.
The minutes of the July13, 2015 meeting of the Environmental Commission were approved.
Introduction of Nick Olson
Nick Olson was introduced to the Commission as a new Commissioner. Commissioners and
Staff Liaison introduced themselves.
2015 Recycling RFP – RFP evaluation and matrix review
Each member present presented their evaluation of each RFP submission through the provided
matrix. Council Liaison Mercer-Taylor and Commissioner Montgomery provided a copy of their results through the Staff Liaison. In each Commissioner’s matrix Tennis Recycling scored the highest overall and highest in many of the individual categories. There were questions regarding
the overall attention to detail of some of the submissions but, in general, all RFPs were of good
quality.
RFP for Recycling RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL – TENNIS RECYCLING
The Environmental Commission for the City of Falcon Heights Recommends TENNIS
RECYCLING as the highest scored Applicant.
Decision: Unanimous
Community Forum:
No community forum was held.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
