RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE 2017 PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement of the 2017 Pavement
Management Project, the proposed improvement of the following streets:
• Folwell Ave, from Fulham St to Hoyt Ave
• Vincent St, from Hoyt Ave to Folwell Ave
• Northrup Ave, from Hoyt Ave to Folwell Ave
• Burton St, from Hoyt Ave to Folwell Ave
• Coffman St, From Hoyt Ave to Larpenteur Ave
WHEREAS, bids were received on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., opened, and
tabulated according to the law, and the following bids were received complying with the
advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving Inc., of Shakopee, Minnesota, is the lowest
responsible bidder at the tabulated price for Base Bid plus Alternate 1 of $1,414,816.39, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Falcon Heights,
Minnesota:
The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with Valley Paving hic., of Shakopee, Minnesota, for $1,414,816.39 in the name
of the City of Falcon Heights for the above improvements according to the plans and
specifications thereof heretofore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of
the City Administrator.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder
and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until contracts have been signed.
