5. Ramsey County Presentation on Auto Theft by Melanie McMahon
Only 83% of people file a report for auto theft. It is very impactful in regards to
cost. If a car is stolen, there’s about a 50% that it will be recovered. There is an
auto theft prevention grant that gets distributed throughout the state. Ramsey
County Attorney’s Office is looking at not only the prosecution aspect, but how it
can be prevented. Technology has helped with preventing some auto theft.
6. Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration Grant
All in favor of the grant submission
7. Event Planning
Ideas on how the event will look:
May 19th or May 20th, lunch time (11am-2pm)
A bouncy house and music brings families out
Work on outreach. There has been some focus on outreach to 1550 Larpenteur
Ave, as well as 1530 Larpenteur Ave. Contact apartment managers by their
preferred method of communication before distributing flyers. New
management on Snelling service drive by Idaho is very receptive.
Contact LIONS about tent
Parks and Rec have some activities for kids
City provided beverages, plates, and silverware.
