Paul Ciernia stated that speed ]_imits can only be set by
the State. A letter received by the Roseville police
said they do not recommend this type of sign as they feel
it only accomplishes a false security for children and
parents. Ms. Smith asked if it would be appropriate to
send flyers to the neighborhood residents addressing this
concern. Counci]_ felt that would be an excellent idea
and offered assistance from staff, if needed. Council
also requested that Terry Maurer, City Engineer, provide
them with additional information and requested the matter
be placed on the August 22nd Council Agenda.
