D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
N/A E. AGENDA: 1. Park Amenities
a. Curtiss Field Basketball Court
• Work on the Curtiss Field Basketball Court is weather dependent right now. Public Works will have to wait to let the ground dry before they begin work. Once work has begun Parks Commission will discuss
court sizes.
b. Community Park Building
• Community Park Building is deteriorating. Concrete is not ADA compliant and will cost around $90,000. Roof and windows need to be replaced and this will cost between $60-70,000. City Council is
exploring options of next steps. c. The Grove
• ADA Audit should be conducted.
• Tour the parks for the next Commission meeting to get a better
understanding of what is at each park. 2. Entertainment for Ice Cream Social a. The Percolators b. Will Hale
• Review of attached flyer and discussion about type of music and cost of band.
• Group decided on the band The Percolators for Ice Cream Social (July 18th).

3. Community Garden a. Community Gardener Meeting
• Discussion of Community Gardener Meeting on Wednesday, April
17th.
• Ramsey County Master Gardeners will attend to answer questions and provide tips for the gardening season b. 2019 Community Garden Improvements
• Council Member Melanie Leehy brought up the idea of Seeds of Sharing in which individuals have two seed packets, one they keep for themselves and one they give to someone else to plant.
• Seeds of Sharing can begin at Community Gardener Meeting.
• The vegetables or flowers produced can be shared at the Ice Cream Social. 4. Grant Updates
a. Target Grant
• Update about Target Grant and that the funds will be used to enhance the soccer program.
• Funds will go towards scholarships and building a shed at Curtiss
Field for soccer equipment. b. Good Neighbor Fund
• Update on the good neighbor fund and how the funds will be used.
• Application was submitted for 2019 focusing on the initiative of
cultivating a caring community.
• If granted, funds will be used for story time. Story time will involve children and adults reading to each other at various locations throughout the City as part of engagement.
• Funds will also be used for enhancing REC on the Go and the shed at Curtiss Field. F. INFORMATION/ANNOUNCEMENT
• Explore the option of Minnesota United coming to the Falcon Heights community as a part of engaging community and promoting Parks Program.
