1. Call to Order
Meeting called to order at 6:30pm.

2. Approval of September 11, 2017 meeting minutes
The meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.
3. Curtis Field Signage
The signage was reviewed and approved. Some discussion on where the signs
will be located. Avoid proximity to kids. Near walk area by the pond.
Question on how high from the ground the signs will be. There were also
question on the edges (will they be sharp).
The commission is assuming we will have one for each item reviewed (2).
4. Piano in the Park – “Play Your Part”
Feedback on a theme, “play your part”
Art contest to help artist come up with ideas.
Artist is selected in January.
Piano will be placed in the Community Park.
5. Rec on the Go
Tim is reaching out to other communities for programming ideas.
6. Events - 2018
No Winter Fest this year.
Spring time, Community Outreach is planning an event.
Balsa glider plan give away. Decorate the planes too.
Ice Cream social in July. Ramsey County Sheriff will hold Hot Dog with
a Deputy and bring their vehicles.
Some discussion on the city’s roll in Bell Museum Opening?
7. 2018 Schedule – February – Goal Session – Report to Council
Next meeting is Monday, February 5th, 2018.
Recap of 2017 and major activities for 2018.
8. Additional Updates , Meeting Schedule
Boards are up at Curtis Field.
Only one warming house attendant so far.
Council will explore basketball field at Curtis.
Park Commissioner status:
a. Gordon’s term is over
b. Ben’s term is over.
c. Shawn’s term is over.
d. Randy will be moving over to the Planning Commission.
e. Expecting Melanie to join the Parks and Rec Commission.
