HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 19-04 Amending Section 113 of the Falcon Heights City Code for Building HeightORDINANCE NO. 19-04   CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS  RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA    AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 113 OF THE FALCON HEIGHTS CITY CODE    THE CITY COUNCIL OF FALCON HEIGHTS ORDAINS:     SECTION 1 Section 113-3 of the Falcon Heights City Code is amended as follows.  113-3 – Definitions   Building height means the vertical distance between the average grade level at the building line and the uppermost point on a flat roof, to the mean distance of the highest gable on a pitched, hip, or gambrel roof, to the deck line of a mansard roof, and to the uppermost point on all other roof types. / SECTION 2 Section 113-174 is amended as follows. Section 113-174 – One-family R-1 residential district (e) Lot area, height, lot width and yard requirements. (1) No structure or building shall exceed two stories or 25 feet in height, whichever is lesser in height, except as provided in section 113-243. SECTION 3 Section 113-240 is amended as follows Section 113-240 – Accessory buildings and structures (f) Height limitations. No accessory building in a residential district shall exceed the height of the principal building. No detached garage in a residential district shall exceed 15 feet in height.
