A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AMBER UNION HOME AND/OR COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMNET BLOCK GRANT FUNDING
WHEREAS, Buhl GTA, LLC's is redeveloping the former TIES property site at 1667 Snelling
Avenue North, hereafter referred to as the Amber Union project; and
WHEREAS, The project includes the redevelopment of two buildings to include 128
apartments, a small retail space, and greater exterior amenities to include a patio and playground
equipment for apartment tenants; and
WHEREAS, Buhl GTA, LLC is requesting $350,000 in Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) funding to assist with redevelopment funding; and
WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights supports the funding request from Buhl GTA, LLC in
the amount of $350,000 for the aforementioned redevelopment funding needs; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Falcon Heights City Council that the
City fully supports Amber Union's efforts to fund the redevelopment of the former TIES
property site at 1667 Snelling Avenue North and the submission for grant funds through the
HOME and/or Community Development Block Grant program.
