MINUTES
A. CALL TO ORDER: Chair Wassenberg called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.
B. ROLL CALL:
Members present: Bucholtz, De Filippo Vannucci, Seth, Mathwig, Wassenberg, and Olson
Also present: Council Liaison Andrews, Staff Liaison Markon
Members absent: McCleery
C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: August 10, 2020
Bucholtz moved, seconded by Mathwig to approve minutes for August 10, 2020.
D. AGENDA
a. Discuss beekeeping ordinance
i. The ordinance was brought to the Planning Commission in late August and the Council Workshop in September. ii. Changes made to the ordinance during this meeting include: 1. Addition of a definition for sources of water 2. Moving the definition for flyaway barrier to the definition section 3. Keeping requirement about fences for side of yards 4. The City will inform adjacent property owners of a neighboring hive and neighbors will have right to send allergy information
iii. Motion to approve beekeeping ordinance by Wassenberg, seconded by Seth. Motion carries. b. Discuss EV charging stations
i. Wassenberg introduced the potential sites he has identified and announced that he drafted a letter to property owners to gauge interest. ii. The Commission members discussed possible sites at: Hendrickson, Good Acre,
Falcon Crossing, Egg Roll Queen, Warners’ Stellian. iii. The criteria by which these sites will be evaluated include public area, parking available, near a destination more than 10 miles from one’s home, place to spend
30+ minutes. iv. The Commission noted that they will need to consider who will bear the cost of electricity needed to power the charging stations.
E. NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
a. Ryan Krzos from WSP introduced himself as the interim community development
coordinator.
