MINUTES OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA
ocTOBER 2, 1975
A special meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was
called to order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m.
Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and
Labalestra. Also present was Clerk-Administrator Barnes.
None.
Mayor Warkentien explained to Council that a preliminary
review of the proposed City Budget submitted by the C1erk-
Administrator was the purpose of this special meeting.
Clerk-Administrator Barnes submitted quotations on a tractor
and equipment and explained that if Council wished to pur-
chase the necessary equipment, there was available cash in
the Treasurer's Bank Account.
Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Steele to
authorize the Clerk Administrator to purchase a tractor and
cab from L - Z Compar~,~Inc., 1881 Rice Street, Saint Paul,
Minnesota, providing a trade-in allowance was offered for
the City tractor and equipment with a minimum trade-in of
$800, and that the Clerk requisition the tractor Bated at
$3300 and the cab listed at $1595. Upon a vote being taken,
the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen
Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following
voted "nay": None. Motion carried.
Councilman Ecklund moved to appoint Clerk-Administrator
Barnes as Civil Defense Director. The motion died for lack
of a second.
Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Black to adjourn
the meeting at 11:50 p.m. Upon a vote being taken, the following
voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Steele, and
Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": Councilman Ecklund.
Motion carried.
