FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA
SEPTEMBE'~t 30, 1976
A special meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order
by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m.
Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra. Also PRESENT
present were Clerk-Ad~ai.nistrator Barnes, Fire Chief Renchin, Assistant
Fire Chief Bianchi and Maintenance men Vincent Wright and William Garlick.
No one was absent. ABSENT
Fire Chief Renchin requested Council to review the proposed 1977 Fire FIRE DEPART-
Department Budget and suggested that Council consider raiaimg fire call MHNT SUGGES-
pay to $5.00 per kour and an officers pay increase. TIONS F08
1977 BUDGET
Council approved the following in Resolution 76-33: Establishing fire
calla at $5.00 per hour and to set the Chief's salary at $100.00 per
month and the two Assistant Chief's salaries a $60.00 per month each.
Maintenance men Wright and Garlick requested Council to review labor WRIGHT AND
Appropriations and requested Council consider their salary request ref- GARLICK RE-
ative to merit and their qualifications. Council advised theau they QUEST WAGE IN-
would take their request ander advisement in finalizing the bud6et. CREASES
Mayor Warkentien introduced the following Resolution and moved its RESOLUTION

ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR, 1977 FOR THE GENERAL FUND AND SINKING
FUND OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS.
Upon a vote being talssJl, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien,
Councilmen Black, Eeklund, Steele and Labalestra, and the following-voted
"nay": None. Motion carried.
Moved by Councilmen Eeklund, seconded by Councilman Labalestra to approve APPROVAL OF
the November 2nd General Election Judges as submitted. Upon a vote beit:g GENERAL ELEC-
taken the folloi+i.ng voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Steele, TION JUDGES
Black, Ecklund and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None.
Motion carried.
Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Mayor Warkentien to approve the ANNUAL DUMP
Dump Ground schedule from October 16 through October 2l~, inclusive, and
authorize the Clerk-Administrator to prepare flyers for Scout Troop 233
to deliver to residents in the City of Falcon Heights. Upon a rote be-
ing taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen
Black, Steele, Ecklund and Labalestra and the fol~.owing voted "nay"s
None. Motion carried.
Mayor Warkentien introduced the followir~ Resolution and moved its adoption.

Councilman Ecklund seconded the above motion and upon a vote being taken
the following vote "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Labaleatra,
Black, Steele and Ecklund, and the following voted"nay"; None. Motion
carried.
Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Steele to authorize the PURCHASE OF 3
Clerk-Administrato~e to have three additional microphones installed for ADDITIONAL
the Council asd to transfer funds from the Contingency Fund to provide MICROPHONES
for the installation. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye":
Mayor Warkentien, CourtciLnan Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra, and
the following voted "nay" : None. Motion carried.
Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Mayor Warkentien to adjourn the ADJO~T
meeting at 10:30 p.m. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye":
Mayor Warkentien, Councilman Steele, Black, Ecklund and Labalestra and
the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried.
