HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCMin_77Oct6_Special MINUTES SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING n a OCTOBER 6, 1977 i7C~ A special meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele and PRESENT Labalestra. Also present, Clerk Administrator Barnes. None ABSENT Mayor Warkentien advised council of the intent of the meeting which is to finalize the City Budget for 1978. The following changes were made by fund: 401-43 Delete the League of Minnesota Cities dues of $1,326.80 (Council Fund) 402-10 Set the total amount at $31,900.00 (Clerk Administrators 1 Fund) 403-13 Set the amount at $6,000 Prosecuting Attorney 409-52 Reduce the amount by $1,000 (drapes) Municipal Buildings 412-12C Reduce by $912 and set sleeper pay at $12.50 and $17.50 412-35 Reduced by $600 412-52 Reduced by $225 412-54 Reduced by $3,375 412A-52 Add $1,000 Fire-Capital Outlay Fund 421-13 Reduce $1,000 Engineering 423-28 Add $825 to each totaling a budget of $40,000.00 8 423-29 Diseased Tree Program 429-10 Add $270 Salaries Labor approp. 429-45 Add $31 Labor approp. pensions 475-12A Add $300 Park Winter Employees ILj MINUTES SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 6 , 19 7 7 n ~ ~,~i Page 2 a7 Councilman Steele introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 77-25 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS THAT THE FOLLOWING FUNDS BE AND THEY ARE HEREBY LEVIED UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS FOR THE YEAR 1977 COLLECTABLE IN THE YEAR 1978 GENERAL FUND $233,462.00 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Warkentien and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele and Labalestra. The following voted against same: None. WHEREUPON, the the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Council directed Clerk Administrator Barnes to submit RECREATION to the Recreation Advisory Committee the following items: ADVISORY 1. Closing of warming house when below COMMITTEE zero and when not being utilized 2. A proposed roving park patrol at a cost of $300 for the skating season Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra FALL DUMP to set the fall dump dates from the 29th of October to the DATES 6th of November, 1977. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele and Labalestra. The following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman McGough to ADJOURNMENT adjourn the meeting at 8:40 p.m. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, McGough, Steele and Labalestra.
