The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members
present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Ecklund, Stone and Taylor. Also present
were Clerk Printon, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Seed. Absent was Councilman
Black.
Minutes: Ecklund moved that the minutes of the March 11, 1971
meeting be approved as written. Stone seconded and the
motion carried.
Correspondence: Various letters of correspondence were read and ordered
filed.
Mr. David Anderson - David A. Anderson, 1512 West Idaho Avenue was present to
Widening of Arona discuss the widening of Arona Avenue from California to
from California to Hoyt Avenue. Stone moved that the Village Clerk be
Hoyt Avenue: directed to write a letter to property owners abutting
Arona Avenue to ascertain their wishes concerning the
reconstruction of Arona to a width of L~0 feet and instal-
ling curb and gutter. Taylor seconded and the motion
carried.
Village Office Taylor moved that the Village Clerk be authorized to
Remodeling Bids: advertise for bids to remodel the Village Office. Bids
to be opened at the meeting of April 22, 1971. Warkentien
seconded and the motion carried.
Motion Amended: Taylor moved that the motion to advertise for bids be
amended to include an alternate bid for construction of
a raised platform and council table. Warkentien seconded
and the motion carried.
