MEETING OF API~,IL 8, 1971

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. with the following members
present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone and Taylor. Also
present were Clerk Printon, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Seed.
Plaque Presented to Ernest Romero of the Ramsey County League of Municipali-
Councilman Black: ties presented a plaque to Councilman Black in recognition
of his dedicated service as secretary-treasurer to the
League in 1968, 1969 and 1970.
Minutes: Ecklund moved that the minutes of the March 25, 1971
meeting be approved as corrected. Taylor seconded and
the motion carried.
Northern States Taylor moved that the proposal by the Northern States
Power Company Power Company regarding Falcon Heights street lighting
Street Lighting contract be approved and signed by the Mayor and Village
Contract: Clerk. Stone seconded and the motion carried.
Correspondence: Various letters of correspondence were read and ordered
filed.
Seal Coating - Warkentien moved that Engineer Lemberg be authorized to
Northeast Area: draw plans and specifications for seal coating streets in
the northeast area of Falcon Heights. Black seconded and
the motion carried.
Volunteer Firemen Ecklund moved that the per diem allowance be increased
Per Diem Allowance: to $25 per day for volunteer firemen, not to exceed the
budget allowance, for travel conferences and schools.
Stone seconded and the motion carried.
Fire Reports:
Ecklund read Fire Reports No. 11, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
Council Meeting Ecklund moved that the Council meetings be set at 8:00 P.M.
Time Change: to coincide with the daylight saving time May through
October. Taylor seconded and the motion carried.
Human Rights Warkentien moved that the resignation of Rev. John Buchanan
Commission as a member of the Falcon Heights Human Rights Commission
Resignation: be accepted. Taylor seconded and the motion carried.
Bills: Taylor moved that the following bills be paid:

State Treasurer - First half - April - Soc. Sec. 123.50
