PRESENT: Acting Mayor Stone, Councilmen Black, Ecklund and Taylor. Also present were Clerk Administrator Barnes and Engineer Lemberg. Attorney Seed arrived at 7:55 P.M. I~Iotion by Councilman Taylor, seconded by Counei.lman Advertise for Ecklund to approve the fire truck specification with Bids. the stipulation that delivery be made no earlier than 1973 and directed the Clerk-Administrator to advertise for bids, to be opened Tlarch 22, 1972 at 2:U0 P.ri. at the Village hall. Motion carried. Ordinance Tdo, 67 - Revision was deferred for further study, Rec. Adv, Committee Recreation Advisory Committee appointment of Mr. Members - Deferred. Robert G. Teigen, 1656 Garden Avenue and. Dr. Robert Thatcher, 1859 Snelling Avenue were deferred as riayor Warkentien was out of town. Ramsey County Clerk Administrator Barnes reported on the proposed Public Health Public Health Nursing Service in Ramsey County which Nursing Service. meeting the Ramsey County Board had on January 31, Program Report. 1972. Barnes reported that Mayor Warkentien and he had attended the meeting and that Mayor Warkentien presented in behalf of the Council their opposition to the proposed program at this time. Barnes reported that the County Commissioners deferred. the matter for further study by the County and local governments involved. Councilman r~lack introduced the following resolution and. moved its adoption. A resolution requesting Ramsey County ~+eagua of t~~unicipalities to formally oppose by resolution ~~~`'`~~ ~ ~~'`"~ `"'`"~~ the establishment of a Ramsey County Nursing Service -~~~~t~~~- '" ~~ and that the Ramsey Countyl~ague of 1~Iunicipaliti®s r_t;.,. - ~~-~-5 . furnish the Ramsey County Commissioners with a ~~"'"`'~~ ~~ certified copy of their resolution to that effect, .: The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councillrian Taylor and upon a vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor; Acting PRayor Stone, Councilstian Blacks Council- man Ecklund and Councilman Taylor. Mayor Warkentien was absent. Whereupon the resolution was duly gassed and adopted. Federal Aid Urban Councilman Taylor introduced the following Resolution System - and moved its adoption: Resolution 72-6: APPROVAL OF FEDERAL AID URBAN SYSTEM The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was seconded by Councilman Black and the motion carried. It was likewise requested that if they did wash their cars they tiaere required to clean up the fire station afterwards. Clerk-Administrator Barnes reported to the Council in respect to liability insurance on an ambulance used by Victor Vainovskis, Motion by Councilman Taylor, seconded by Councilman Black directing the Clerk Administrator to write a letter to Victor Vainovskis advising him not to use the siren or emergency. lights on the ambulance when reporting to afire or emergency call and. to obey all traffic regulations when reporting to such calls in the Village of Falcon Heights. Municipal State Engineer Lemberg mentioned to the Council that con- Aid Report. sideration should ba made in respect to designating soma street in the Village as a State Aid Project, Garden Avenue may soon be turned back to the Village by the County. A discussion ensued as to which street might be most suitable. The Engineer was directed to inquire as to when the County would turn Garden Avenue back and.. it was suggest®d a traffic count be made on several stye®ts bef ore a decision would be mad®. Councilman Taylor read fire reports 72-5&6, Snow Removal The Clerk Administrator was directed to make a Sidewalks study for a proposed Sidewalk Snow Removal Study. Ordinance. The Clerk Administrator was directed to have all crosswalks cleaned by i~Ir. Jim Hoe1 and to have the Village Inspector inform the property owners that the Village would open them this tame and hereafter they must keep them cleared. '72 Seal Coating Ezzgizeur Leznborg recuested the U,~~~nc:~_1 to consider and Maintenance the 1972 :paintenanco and seal coating program in the Program. Northwest quadrant of the Village. Tlotion by Councilman Ecklund~ seconded by Councilman Black to approve and authorize the engineer to prepare plans and specifications for the maintenance and seal coating program for 1972 in the Northwest quadrant of the Village of Falcon heights. notion carried..
