MIPdUTES OF SPECIAL COUPdCIL MEETING
FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA
OCTOBER 1, 1973
A special meeting of the Falcon Heights Village Council was called to order by
__ Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 P.M.
Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and PRESENT
Stone. Also present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes
and Fire Chief Helbig.
Councilwoman Stocker who was on vacation.
Councilman Black introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:

Councilman Stone seconded the foregoing Resolution and
upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Mayor Yarkentien, Councilmen Black
and Stone, and the following voted against the same:
Councilman Ecklund. Motion carried.
A discussion and review was held in respect to the
1971 Budget for the Village of Falcon Heights.
Councilman Stone introduced the following Resolution
and moved its adoption:

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of
F~l.con Heights that the following sums by and they are
hereby levied upon the taxable property of the Village
of Falcon Heights for the year 1973, collectible in the
year 197I~

Councilman Black seconded the foregoing Resolution and
upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black,
Ecklund and Stone, and the following voted against
the same: None. Motion carried.
Councilman Black reported that Mick Pothen of 1877 N.
Hamline Avenue has made application for rezoning of
property at 1889 N. Hamline. Property description
of said land is : That part of the NE 4 of the SW
i~ of Section 15, Townshi-~ 29, Range 23, lying E ~1y
of the plat of Klatt~s Addition Tdo. 2, and lying
N~1y of Ruggles Street and Sly of Roselawn Avenue.
This application was made for the rezoning from an
R-1 to an R-2, and has been referred to the Falcon
Heights Planning Commission.
A public hearing was set for October 21~, 1973, at
8:00 P.M., to be held by the Falcon Heights Planning
Commission, and a public hearing was set for October
25, 1973, to be held at 8:00 P.M. by the Falcon
Heights Village Council.
A variance request by Mrs. R. C. Reiter, 1506 W.
California Avenue, for construction of a garage
was referred to the Falcon Heights Planning
Commission.
Adjournment was 10:29 P.M.
