PRESENT
A saecial meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by Mayor
Warkentien at 5:30 P.M.
Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele,
and Labalestra. Also present were Clerk-Administrator
Barnes and Engineer Lemberg.
None.
Engineer Lemberg presented the Council with a tabulation
of the bids for water and sewer, relative to the Falcon
Heights Community Park, as follows:
Shafer Contracting Company, Inc. X8,210.00
Commercial Utilities, Inc. 3,976.00
Clement Schmitz 6,857.00
Roseville Plumbing & Heating, Inc. 7,357.00
Robert 0. Westlund Construction 6,656.00
Councilman Ecklund introduced the following Resolution
and moved its adoption:

FOR THE FALCON HEIGHTS COT~TNITY PARK TO COMMERCIAL
UTILITIES, INC. 965 PAYNE AVENUE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,976.00,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK-ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE
TiiE COTJTRACTS.
Councilman Black seconded the for~~99ing Resolution and upon
a vote being taken thereon, the f~511owing voted in favor
thereof : Mayor Z^darkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele,
and Labalestra, and the following voted against the same:
None. Motion unanimously carried.
Councilman Black discussed with the Council, the variance VARIATdCE 1372 W. LARPENTEUR
request of Millard Rustad, 1372 ~~T. Larnenteur Avenue, for
a side yard set-back of three feet, to permit M r. Rustad
to build a double garage two feet from his west property line.
Councilman Black moved, seconded by Mayor T~jJarkentien, to
approve the variance subject to the approval by the Falcon
Heights Planning Commission, which is meeting on July 22,
1971. Motion carried.
Metro Transit Commission requested approval by the Fat con MTC BUS ROUTING
Heights Council to have an extension of the T•1TC bus route
from Hamline and Larpenteur, westerly to Cleveland Avenue,
which would permit linking the bus route between Snelling
and Fairview. The route would begin at Lake Owasso.
Mayor T~darkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra,
to approve this request by T~1TC. Motion carried.
Councilman EcTclund moved, seconded ~iy Councilman Black, to ADJOURNMENT
adjourn the meeting at 5:l~5 P.Ni. notion carried.
