Also present were Treasurer Olsen, Attorney Galvin, and Engineer Lembo:.^g. Mrs. Lawrence Merriam represented the League of Women Voters. Thomas Reiff was present again to .observe as part of World Affairs Class. Minutest Stone mooed, seconded by Ecklund that the minutes of the . meeting of February 21, 1968 be approved. Ayes: All. Nayss None. Motion was carried. Molester in Mayor Warkentien advised he received a letter from the Custody: Sheriffs Department advising that the child molester that had been in this area is now in custody. Major Street Plan of Letter dated March 6~ 1968 from Deane Anklan~ County Ramsey County: ~ngineer~ stated in part that the purpose of the Major Street Plan is to provide sufficient roadway widths in platting adjacent properties. Ayes: Warkentien, Strandquist~ Black, Ecklund and Stone. .Nays; None. Motion was carried. Mr. and Mrs-. Julian Lee Mr. and Mrs. Julian Lee, 1737 Fry Street, were present. Fry Street Tr~.ffic using Mr. Lee is disturbed over the deterioration of Fry Street Driveways to turn around: due to the following: 1. Too many vehicles, probably residents and visitors of apartments, using private driveways to turn around oftentimes cars drive right over boulevard. 2. Home-owners in defense have placed blocks, and various articles in driveways to discourage turning around. 3. Robert Hall Store boulevard is in bad shape from cars driving_to turn around and also from neglect resulting in a boulevard of dandelions and weeds. The bushes or hedge adjoining are untrimmed. ffiack moved, seconded by Stone that the Village Cleric be directed to write Sam Spiegler, owner of the Spiegler Apartments requesting that he appear at Village Council meeting of March 28, 1968 to discuss this matter. Ordinance No. 82, N~ff~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of Falcon Heights that Ordinance No. 82, entitled ~~An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. l~6, entitled 'An Ordinance Regulating the Operation of the Municipal Sanitary Sewer Systems Requiring Connections to be Made to the., Municipal Sanitary Sewer Systems Establishing Regulations as to Types and Kinds of Wastes that May be Disposed of by the Use of the Municipal Sanitary Sewer Systems Prohibiting the Discharge of arty Type or Kind of Surface PJ'aters into the Municipal Sanitary Sewer System and Prescribing Rates and Charges for Disposal Servicest as amended by Ordinance No. It8, Ordinance No. 58 and Ordinance No. 63~ is hereby approved for passage. The motion for passage of Ordinance No. 82 was seconded by Black. Upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor~thereons Warkentien, Stra.ndquist~ Black, Ecklund and Stone and the ..following voted against same= None. Whereupon said Ordinance was declared adopted 2682 this ll~th day of March, 1968 to be in full force and effect on April 1, 1968 and after its publication according to law. Building Code: After discussion, Black moved, seconded by Stone, that the Village Council authorize the Village Engineer to provide council with a letter in reference to the adoption of the Uniform Building Code, such letter to indicate variations from. that Code which he considers advisable for the Village of Falcon Heights. Copy of said letter shall be forwarded to Building Inspector Richard Magnuson. Ayes: A11. Nays: None. Motion was carried. Electrical Repairs Strandquist moved, seconded by Ecklund that Clerk write made by den Padwal: Ben Padwal, 1730 Arona Street, expressing thanks for the _ electrical repairs made in the municipal building for which he made.. no charge. DFL Club Reserves 5trandquist moved, seconded by Warkentien that request Village Hall; of Arthur Daltas on behalf of the 1~9B District DFL Club, to use the.Village Hall on April 8, 1968 at 7:30_P.M. for club meeting be granted, Ayes: All. Nays: .None. Moore Warkentien moved, seconded by Ecklund that Robert L. appointed to Committee Moore, 1791 Asbury, be appointed to represent Falcon to work with Ramsey County Heights on committee to work with ..the Ramsey County Recreation Department and Recreation Department and the Ramsey County Board County Board of Comte of Commissioners in the development of a plan for issioners: parks and recreation in Ramsey County.. Recreational Advisory A Recreational Advisory Committee has been created which Committee Appointeds will meet informally at its discretion and serve merely . in an advisory capacity.
