SPECIAL MEETING OCTOBER 2g, 1g68

The Council meeting was called to order at 7:30
P.M. with the following members present:
Mayor Warkentien, Councilman Black, Eklund
and Stone.
Also present were Treasurer Olsen and Attorney Seed.
1. The Village Council discussed with Mr. Joseph
Prifrel the terms and conditions of a new contract with the
employees of the Village of Falcon Heights. Severance pay
for the full time paid firemen was also discussed. Mr.
Prifrel and the Village Council agreed to renew the dis-
cussions at a meeting to be held on November 21, 1868, at
7:30 P.M.
2. Trustee Eklund moved, seconded by Stone, that
the Village Clerk be directed to advise the full time paid
firemen in writing that their employment with the Village
would discontinue as of January 1, lg6g. Upon a vote being
taken, the following voted for same:
Mayor Warkentien and Trustee Black, Eklund
and Stone.
Whereupon the resolution was declared passed.
3. The Village Council discussed whether or not it
should submit a bid, to purchase for playground purposes the
Julia Lindig property set for public sale on November 1,
1g68. Trustee Stone moved, seconded by Black, that the Vill-
age Council not submit a bid to purchase the property on the
grounds that it was not properly suited for either or play-
ground or recreational purposes. Upon a vote being taken,
the following voted for same:
Mayor Warkentien and Trustee Black and Stone.
Trustee Eklund abstained.
