HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCMin_68Dec4_SpecialSPECIAL MEETING DECEMBER 4, 1968 2825 The special meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M, with the following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Black and Ecklund. Election Returns: The Village Clerk read the following election returns. For the Office of Councilman Norman Ecklund 301 votes David Beardsley 167 votes For the Office of Village Clerk James Taylor 1128 votes Mrs. M. Vavoulis (write-in) 7 votes Lloyd Svendsbye (write-in) 1 vote Frederick N. Martin (write-in) 1 vote For the Office of Justice of the Peace D. Michael Noonan lt12 votes Paul Coppini (write-in) 1 vote Frederick N. Martin (write-in) 1 vote On motion by Black, seconded by Warkentien, it was voted unanimously by the Council acting as Camrassing Board to declare the following persons duly elected to the respective offices and the Clerk was instructed to certify said election returns to the Ramsey County Auditor. Village Councilman - Norman Ecklund for three years; Village Clerk - James Taylor for two years; Street Light: Adjournment: Justice of the Peace - D. Michael Noonan for two years. The Council authorized NSP to substitute a 23,000 lumen light for the previously ordered 250 watt Mercury Vapor Light on the west side of Hamline between Iowa and Hoyt Avenue.
