HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCMin_69May222888 MEETING OF MAY 22, 1969 The regular meeting of May 22, 1969 was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Stone, Black and Ecklund. Also present were Attorney Seed and Treasurer Olsen. Minutes: Black moved, Ecklund seconded approval of the May 8, 1969 minutes as corrected, Motion carried. Sanitary Sewer Black moved that we refer the letter of April 29, 1969 from Eugene Cont., Arundel V. Avery regarding the Sanitary Sewer Contract, to the Village Street Sewer Attorney for review and reply. Warkentien seconded. Motion carried. Repair Policy for use 7~ylor requested that a policy be adopted on the use of the Village of Village Hall: fall. The following policy was prepared by the Village Attorney: No organization or group may use the Village Hall for meeting purposes without the permission of the Village Council, except for any organization or group established by the Village Council, or working under the Village Council, including, but not limited to the Recreation Advisory Committee, Human Rights Commission, Planning Commission, and Fire Department Relief Association. Black moved, Ecklund seconded that the policy governing the use of the Village Hall be adopted. Motion carried. Village Ecklund moved, seconded by Black that we authorize the Village Shreet signs: Engineer to place orders with Gopher Stamp and Dye Company for new reflectorized steeet signs with green background and white lettering and necessary appurtenance thereto. Motion carried. Fire Reports No. 777 & 778: Ecklund read Fire Reports No. 777 & 778. B & E Patrol: B & E Patrol was requested to appear before the Village Council at the next scheduled meeting of June 12, 1969, to discuss the import- ance and evaluation of their services. Building Permit Back moved that the application for building permit submitted by for Mary Gillitte: Lewis Jensen Agency on behalf of Mary Gillitte on Lot 2, Blc3ek 2 of Lindig Addition be referred to the Village Engineer for recom- mendation. Seconded by Taylor. Motion carried, ~J 2889 Roseville Area Letter from Roseville School was read by Councilman Black School: in reference to the construction of tennis courts on the site of the Falcon Heights Elementary School. The text of the letter stated that until the planning of the addition to the school is completed it would not be possible to give a final answer . Reaoning of A request for a rezoning of 1697 North Hamline Avenue was 1697~~N. Hamline submitted by Robert B. Pagenk~pf. Black moved, seconded by Avenue: Stone that the application be submitted to the Planning Commission for review. Public Hearing will be held by the Planning Commission on June 19. Motion carried. Harold C. Nilsen ~Jarkentien nominated Harold C. Nilsen as a member on the nominated a member on Human Rights Commission to serve for a term of three years.
