HomeMy WebLinkAboutCCMin_69Jul242901 MEETING OF JULY 21~, 1969 The regular meeting of July 2~, 1969 was called to order at 7:20 P.M. with the follo~ring members present: Mayor T~~arkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Stone, Black and Ecklund. Also present were Engineer Lemberg and Treasurer Olsen. Attorney Seed arrived at 7 :30 P .A`i. 1 1 Minutes: Stone moved that the minutes of July l0, 1969 meeting be approved as corrected. Black seconded and motion carried. Ben Kuefler: Taylor moved that a motion be made for Mr. Ben Kuefler to be em- ployed on apart time basis for the purpose of brir~in€; the books up to date. Stone seconded. This would be under the jurisdiction of the Village Clerk, at a salary of X3.00 per hour. Motion passed. Paul Dow, Mr. Paul Dow, of the Metro Section of the League of Municipalities, Metro Section appeared before Council requesting the Village of Falcon Heights of the League of join the Metro Section of the League of Municipalities. The 2~unicixal.ities: matter is to be discussed further by the Village Council before any action is taken. Armor Coat motion was made by Stone and seconded by Ecklund that the bill Account: of Armor Coat ~ Co., in the amount of X5308.58, be paid as recom- mended by Village Engineer. Motion passed. Captain Spencer, The following proposed ordinances were discussed with Captain Ramsey County Spencer: Glue sniffing, keys left in locked car, regulating Sheriff: parking on private property, soliciting. Attorney Seed was in- structed to draft a solicitation ordinance. It was decided not to take any action on glue sniffing since State Statute adequately covered that problem. Keys left in locked car ordinance already adopted by Village Council. Action was deferred on use of auto on private property. Aerial Photo: tivarkentien moved and Ecklund seconded that Village Engineer Lemberg be authorized to purchase an Aerial Photo including Falcon Heights, made by T-~ark Hurd, at a cost of ~~1~.00. Scale of photo is, one inch equals 1000 feet. Motion carried. Air Conditioner Taylor moved that Engineer and Ecklund be authorized to purchase for Village an air conditioner for office with all necessary requirements, Office: the price not to exceed X750. ~~arkentien seconded. Snelling Ave.) Property: but not raked and burned. Z;eeds: Request was made to have Mr. Ken Quarn check with owner Jorgenson of weeds on first property on Larpenteur west of new Boyd apartment building, also weeds at first property north of Marti.ni.zing Dry Cleaners on Larpenteux and Albert.
