Also present were Attorney Seed and Treasurer Olsen. Engineer Lemberg arrived at 8:15 P.Ti. I~dnutes : Stone moved and seconded by Itarkentien that the minutes of the August 1~., 1969 meeting be approved as corrected. Ilotion carried. I°Iater Nate Schedule Taylor read a letter from the City of St. Paul T~Tater Depart- Letter: went regarding increased water rates. The letter was given to the Village ~gineer for recommendation. ~Ii.nnesota Adv3.sory Taylor read a letter from Minnesota Advisory Council con- Council Bond Letter: cerning the Tax interest on government bonds. A resolution opposing changing the tax exempt status of Pllunicipal Bonds tias passed, copy of which resolution is attached as Exhibit A. Seconded by Stone and motion carried. 2908 Falcon Heights Black read a letter from the Falcon Heights Church regard- Church Letter: ing the blacktopping of two lots adjoining the existing Church parking lot. The Village Attorney was instructed to write a letter to the Church, requesting a plan. .Existing Yellow Stop Taylor read a letter from the Department of Public Works, Signs at Grantham(iVorthrup) St. Paul, I~Tinnesota, requesting a change of the yellow stop and Hoyt Avenue: signs at the intersection of Grantham (Northrup) and Hoyt Avenue. The Public Z~Iorks Department feels they must be re- placed since the City of St. Paul could be involved in a law suit if an accident occurred at the intersection. The City of St. Paul would be happy to replace there and the Village Council of Falcon Heights gave approval. "No Parking Signs:" Engineer was requested to order the following signs for miscellaneous Village use: 1. 10 signs - 1211x18" - iced on white - ''Tdo Parking within 20 feet of Building - Violators will be Prosecuted." 2. 2 signs - 12''x18'' - reed on white - "P1o Parking Between Signs - Fire ~iydrant" . 3. 2 signs - 12"x18'' - Green on white - '"Parking for Official Village Business Only". Fire Reports: Ecklund read fire reports nos. 792, 793, 791. Parking and Driving Ecklund moved the adoption of Ordinance No. 95, AN ORDINANCE on Private Property i-i:EGULATING THE PAi~,KING ATdD DRIVING OF MGTOR VEHICLES ON PRI- Ordinance No. 95: VATS PTtOPERTY A.ITD I;:LPEALING CTiDINANCE N0. 89. Second by Stone and motion carried. Resolution Amending Ecklund moved the adoption of the following Resolution: Resolution Regulating RESOLV.r~D that the resolution regulating parking on certain Parking Adopted private property adopted by the Village Council on July 10, July 10, 1969: 1969 be amended by striking the second full sentence of paragraph two and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "Parking at any time ~rithin twenty feet of the east side of that portion of the attached shopping center building consisting of the western leg of "L" shaped building (Applebaum's), and within twenty feet of the entire south side of the attached building except for the south side of that portion of the buildings consisting of the western leg of "L" shaped building." Seconded by Stone and motion carried.
