Also present were Attomney Seed, Treasurer Olsen and Engineer Le:aberg. Minutes: Stone moved that the minutes of the September 25, 1969 meeting be approved. Seconded by Warkentien and motion carried. Mr. Merle Moen, Black introduced Mr. Merle Moen, 1906 Tatum Avenue an Applicant for applicant to fill the position of Justice of the Peace, Justice of the left open by Mr. D. Michael. Noonan's leaving to fi].7. Peace: position iac: Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. Mr. Moea~ is employ- ed by Blue Cross as Director of Claims. Attorne~r Seed showed him the Village fine schedule and discussed vari- ou~r duties of the Justice of the Peace. Robert R. Pfefferle, Mr. Pfefferle was at the meeting to discuss further a American Pipe proposal for a survey of the Village serer system at a Cleaning Compa~pra cost of X6,755.00. Matter was tabled. Falcon Heights Mr. George Janssen attended the meeting to show model of State Bank Movings nehr proposed bank buildiAg, to be located two blocks north of Larperiteur on Lexington Avenu®. A special assessment in the amount hereinafter sot forth is hereby 1evl.ed against each of such tracts respectively. 3. The total amount of scrap spec3.a.1. assessment, in each case, shall be payable with the 1969 real estate taxes due and payable during 1970. }~. Town and T.arpentg~tr Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Pro3ect 68 is Public Hearings Per~onant to due call and notice thereof, the hearing Was called to order at 8s00 P.M. to hear all persons present as regards the assessment against abutting properties for the Iowa and I.arpeantgur Avenue Sidewalk Tmprovemeait Project 68-1 Sidewalk Assessment There bei~ no objections by any of the affected citis:ea~s Resolutions present, Stone moved the adoption of the following resolnti.ons WHEREAS, persuant to notice duly given as required by law, the Village Council has mgt, heard and passed upon all ob3ec- tions to the proposed assesasnent for Sidewalk Improvement of 1968, 2921 NOW 1'I~R.EFORE, BE IT RESOLVID by the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesotan 1. Stash proposed assessment roll, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and sha11 constitute the special assessment against the lands named therein, and each tract of land therein is hereby found to be benefited by the proposed improvements. 2. Stash assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments e~ctendi.rag over a period of five years, the first of said installasste to be payable with general. fazes for the year 1969, collectible with such taxes during the year 1970. To the first installment there shall be added interest at the rate of edght per cent (8:00$) per annum on the ea~tire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1970. To each subsequent inset, when due, there sha11 be added interest for one year at said rate on all unpaid, installments.
