MEETING OF FEBRUARY 11, 1970
The regular meeting of February 11, 1970 was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the
following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Black, Ecklund
and Stone. Also present were.Treasurer Olsen, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Zdrazil.
Minutes: Black moved that the minutes of the meeting of January 22,
1970 be approved as corrected. Ecklund seconded and the
motion carried.
Ken Quarn to Stone moved that Ken Quarn, maintenance man for the Village,
attend Sewer be authorized to attend the 7th Annual Surer System Seminar,
g~~a,r; conducted by the American Pipe Services. The Seminar will be
held at the Ambassador Motel, Highways 12 and 100, Minneapolis,
Minnesota, for two days, March 10 and 11, 1970, with expenses
to be paid by the Village. Taylor seconded and motion carried.
Sanitary Sewer The Villages of Roseville, North St. Paul and the City of West
Agreement: St. Paul, Minnesota, have adopted a resolution to change the
wording in the Sewer Agreement, which is in agreement with the
resolution adopted by the Village of Falcon Heights, on Jan-
uary 8, 1970.
Seal Coating, Stone moved and Ecklund seconded that the Village Engineer be

streets in the Northome Area which is south of Larpenteur Ave.
and east of Snelling Avenue. Motion carried.

motion carried.
Application for Ecklund moved that the application for volunteer fireman,
Volunteer Fireman: submitted by Dennis Victor Simon, 1974 Selby Avenue, be ap-
proved by the Village of Falcon Heights subject to passing of
physical examination and six months probationary period.
Taylor seconded and motion carried.
Fire Reports: Ecklund read Fire Report No. 70-3.
Sheriff's Report: Ecklund read Sheriff's Report for January.
Riding Tractor: The Village Clerk was given authorization to check into the
costs of a tractor with lawnmower attavhment, cutting blade
and snow plow.
One Way Alley: Engineer Lemberg reported it to be unwise at the present time
to change the alley running from Arona to Snelling Drive be-
tween Larpenteur Avenue and Crawford Street into a one way
alley. He suggested the Village wait until spring before
making further plans.
Letter to Wayne Mayor Warkentien requested a letter be written to Reverend

Human Rights Commission minutes of January 22, 1970.

It was noted that $300 would be available to the Commission
from the Village for a survey. The total budget appropriated
for the Human Rights Commission expenses for all of 1970 is
$300.
