MEETING OF AUGUST 27, 1970
The regular meeting of August 27, 1970 was calledto order at 7:15 P.M. with the
following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Black, Ecklund
and Stone. Also present were Treasurer Olsen, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Seed.
Minutes: Stone moved that the minutes of the August 13, 1970 meeting
be approved as corrected. Black seconded and the motion
carried.
Letter From Taylor read a letter from Paul Grossing, 181 Arona Avenue,
Paul Grossing - stating sewer stoppage caused by boulevard tree root growth.
Sewer Stoppage: He asked that the condition be remedied and that he be
reimbursed for most recent sewer cleaning expense. The
matter was referred to Engineer Lemberg.
Letter from Dale Taylor read a copy of a letter from Dale Bergstedt, 1b59
Bergstedt - Maple Knoll Drive, addressed to Sheriff Kermit Heilman in
Commending which he commended Deputy L. A. Dittel for his courteous

Letter From League Taylor read a letter from Thomas J. Curley, President of
of Municipalities - Ramsey County League of Municipalities, asking that Village

Letter From Taylor read a letter from Richard J. Dougherty of the

The Village Council hereby finds and determines and

able to all of the residents of the Village of Falcon Heights

the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

Burning Regulations - Stone moved the adoption of Ordinance No. 108 entitled,
Ordinance No. 108: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING BURNING WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF
FALCON HEIGHTS AND REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 51~ AS AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE N0. 81~. Ecklund seconded and the motion
carried.
Parking Ban on Ecklund moved that parking be banned on the north side of
North Side of Hopwood Court during the State Fair from August 28 through
Hollywood Court: September 7. Black seconded and the motion carried.
Permission for Warkentien moved approval of a request by residents of the
Block Party on neighborhood that Arona, between Garden and Crawford, be
Arona Avenue temporarily barricaded for a block party from 2 o~clock P.M.

Storm Sewer Taylor moved that the bill from Roseville for the Falcon

seconded and the motion carried.
