Also present t~rere Engineer Lemberg and Attorney i~,i.chard H. "urge" Kyle. "absent were Councilman Ecklund and Treasurer Olsen. T~Iinutes: Stone moved that the minutes of the October ~, 1970 meet- ing be approved. Black seconded and the motion carried. Recreation T~irs. Lillian Duethman, 1906 Tdorth Albert, Recreation Com- Committee mittee Chairman, requested that lights be put in the Uni- Chairman versity Grove area skating rink and warming house and also Present: requested the addition of new people to the Recreation Committee. She submitted the following names: John Quast, 1530 ti~lest Iowa Avenue James I'~1cGuire, 1529 I~dest Iowa Avenue James Jernberg, 15.0 ti~Jest Iowa Avenue TNT's. ~~lelvin Pothers, 1807 :forth Hamline Avenue t~.aricentien moved that the above named persons be appointed to serve on the Recreation Committee. Taylor seconded and the motion carried. Recreation Committee will contact new members and also scheduled a recreation meeting for Tdovember 10, 1970. .~nerican Pipe Robert 3.. Pfefferle, P. E., Technical Consultant of Ameri- Services can Pipe Services, appeared at the meeting to discuss L~epresentative cleani.a~ of tree roots in the area bounded by Hoyt Avenue Present: on the south, Garden Avenue on the north, Hamline Avenue on the east and Snelling Avenue on the west. The Village Engineer was instructed to meet ti~rith I~r. Pfefferle to de- termine the exact limits of a proposed study and T°Zr. Pfefferle was to submit a specific proposal at a later meeting. T~ietro Sewer Board Lonnie Dye, Chief Engineer of the T~Zetro Sewer Board ap- ~Lepresentative geared at the meeting to explain the various items on the Present: 1971 sewer billing to the Council. Falcon Heights Taylor moved that the Village Engineer be authorized to Sewer hates: study the sewer rate and prepare a recommendation for the sewer charges to cover the 1971 billing by the T~4etro Sewer Board. Black seconded and the motion carried.
